Middle School Homework Tips For Lazy Students – How To Manage Your Time?
Managing the time to complete your homework as a middle school student can be extremely difficult, especially if you tend to be on the lazy side. Sometimes it’s hard to get started, while other times it’s hard to stay focused. Here are a few tips that will help you manage your time:
Finding Motivation
No matter how many tricks or tips you get from teachers or students, you’re not going to get very far with your assignments if you don’t find the proper motivation. Find something that makes you enthusiastic about completing your work. Perhaps it’s rewarding yourself with a night out or it’s earning some money for getting your work done, just find something that gets you fired up.
Get Organized, Make a Plan
Students find that creating a plan with small tasks and checkboxes lets them visualize their progress and helps them stay focused on the ultimate goal. Take a look at all the assignments you have at the beginning of each week. Arrange your tasks by order of priority, this way you know exactly what you need to do each evening.
Power-Down Electronics
It’s extremely important that you get rid of all the distractions surrounding your workspace. This is especially true when you consider yourself to be on the lazy side. Power-down all of your electronics like cell phones, televisions, and even the radio if you find your choice of music hard to concentrate to.
Proper Learning Habits
Students will have different ways of learning and it’s essential for you to understand and know what learning habits work best for you. Some students prefer to review class notes before starting their work; others prefer to work in groups. You may have to try a few different methods before you can comfortably settle on one.
Use it as Study Time
Just the thought of being lazy might turn you off from having to study on top of completing your daily take home assignments. In that case, you might want to kill two birds with one stone and use your time doing homework as a study time. Break up your tasks and use the time in between each one to review what you have previously covered. This will only add about a half an hour to your total but it will save you from having to study hard on another night.
